Happy Thursday AI Friends!

Today I have a fun card using the #4899 - Proud Nurse stamp set.  A friend of mine is a nurse and I knew she would appreciate this birthday card and the funny sentiment included in this stamp set.  She may use that line for some of her patients.  LOL!

I made this a fun fold card using a magnet for the closure.  I hid it under the paper layers so you only hear the snap when it closes.  What is it about that sound that makes it so fun to open and close the card?  😂

To make the card base, I cut a piece of 5 1/2" x 7 1/4" heavy cardstock.  I scored it along the 7 1/4" side at 3" and 6".  This will make it an A2 card size.  Fold and burnish each score line in opposite directions.  Create your mat panels for each of the sections.   I used the #5873 - Mini Birthday PP for the pattern paper panels.    

For the front panel, I stamped the image onto copic friendly paper with Memento black ink and colored with my copic markers listed below.  I then die cut the panel using the #6048 - Scalloped Rectangle dies as well as the larger pink panel.  The blue panel in the middle is cut to fit between the two scallop rectangles.   I adhered the matted image panel to the folded right side only of the card.  The left side of the card will close under the image panel.

The sentiment on the left side of the card is from my stash.   I figured that went perfectly with the front sentiment, plus I got to include myself in on the wine splurge.  LOL!

Ultimate Birthday

 Happy Thursday AI Friends!

My card today features the #5405 Mrs. Set.  I thought it represented the "Ultimate Birthday", from the PJs to the glass of wine.  It also fits this week's challenge "Drink Up".  Check out the bi-weekly challenge tab on the Art Impressions blog and join in the fun by entering your card to have a chance at winning a free stamp set of your choice.

I started by stamping the images onto copic friendly paper with Memento black ink and colored with my copic markers listed below.  I then cut each of the images out with their corresponding dies.  For the wine glass in her hand, I colored an extra wine glass from her hat and fussy cut it out, removing the bow.  I cut a slit in her fingers and adhered the wine glass in between.  

I die cut the white frame from the #5768 Decorative Journal Pg. 1 die set.  I love the beautiful edge on that frame.  I typed the sentiment and printed onto a tag from the #5133 Flag Double Stitched dies.  Lastly, the cupcake came from the #5455 Birthday Buggy set.

Dynamic Duo

 Art Impressions is having a great and fun challenge this week.  It's called "Dynamic Duo" and the point of the challenge is to combine multiple stamp sets into one creative project.  What a fun way to see how your stamps can work together.  

I utilized an oldie but a goodie stamp, Eunice is her name.  I just love her!!  I also utilized the banner from Holiday Mansion Birthday set #5097, the wine hat from the Mrs. Set #5405 and the saying #F3472.  

Both the Mrs. Set and the Holiday Mansion Birthday Sets come with coordinating dies.  Eunice was a old stamp that I had to fussy cut so that the hat would fit over her hair.  Art Impressions stamps are easy to fussy cut so that's a simple task.  This hat, as well as the others in the Mrs. Set, will work with many of the Art Impressions ladies.  You may just have to fussy cut the lady or at least the top of the head to make the hat fit.  That is what makes this challenge so fun, gets your creative juices flowing and the end result will give you good laughs as well as a nice way to change your images.  

I stamped the images on cryogen white paper and colored with my copic markers. I also paper pieced Eunice's shirt.  I stamped the saying on cardstock and cut with the Art Impressions Double Stitched Banner die #5134.

Now that I have tried Eunice with the hats, I'm ready to try some of the other AI ladies.  For example, the Be Happy Laugh lines lady.  This challenge has sparked a monster in me!  Yikes!

Wine Time

 Art Impression's is having their challenge of "Shaken, Not Stirred".  Any drink is the theme.  Of course, I chose wine!  I used the image from the Wine Divas stamp set.  She just says it all!

  I used the Art Impressions double stitch rectangle die to cut out the frames and the flag double stitch die to cut out the saying.  I paper pieced the chair and colored the rest of the image with copic markers.  Paper piecing is so fun and easy.  It makes the chair look like fabric.
