Button Baby Panda card

 Happy Thursday AI Friends!

Today I have a cute little baby card for the "Button Up" challenge.  Check out the "Bi-weekly Challenge" tab on the Art Impressions blog for the simple requirements to qualify for a chance to win a free stamp set of your choice.

I created this fun shaped card using the 6017 - Baby Panda set with the 6057 - Baby Girl PP.

I stamped the image onto copic friendly paper with Memento black ink and colored with my copic markers listed below.  I die cut the image using the coordinating die that is included with the stamp set.  As per my usual, I die cut a second image out of basic white cardstock and adhered it to the back of the colored image to give it more strength.  I like to do this because it adds a little extra "pop up" as well.

To create the card front, I die cut a scalloped circle using the largest die from the 6045 - Scalloped Circle die set.  I then die cut two circles (one pink cardstock and one patterned paper) that fit nicely over the other giving it a slight border.   I then die cut the heart scallop from the 5721 - Nested Heart dies and a 1" piece of white cardstock with a slightly smaller strip of patterned paper to fit over the white cardstock.  I layered these all onto the white scalloped circle as shown above.

For the card base, I folded a piece of cardstock in half (approx. 4 x 4 inches) and die cut the second largest circle from the 5726 - Nested Circle die set placing the die over the fold so that approx. 1/2" of the top does not cut.  This will create the fold for the opening of the card.  Glue one side to the back of the scalloped circle card front.  Pop up the image with foam tape.  Add two small black buttons for the wheels (I threaded white string through the button holes for added detail).  Tie a three loop string and adhere to the button bow with glue dots or liquid glue and then adhere just below the sentiment.

After I put this together and took my pictures, I realized that I didn't add shading to the buggy base or canopy.  Oops!  LOL!  Simple coloring works just as well, yet we always think we need to add more.  Maybe we don't!  πŸ˜€

Thanks for joining me today!  Make sure to check out the current challenge and play along.  We love to see what you create!

Have a great day and keep creating!

Loungin' Linda Bday

 Happy Thursday AI Friends!

I know I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again.  These new AI ladies are a HOOT!
I made this card for a friend of mine and, yes, she will always be older than me so I'm going to rub it in when I can.  😁  But, I can say with sadness, she doesn't look older! πŸ˜›

I stamped the images on copic friendly paper with Memento black ink and colored with my copic markers listed below.   I used the 6077 - Loungin' Linda stamp set along with the 5509 - Beach Accessories stamp set (handbag).

I also used the 5873 Mini Birthday PP and the 5132 - Tag Stitched dies.  The sentiment, balloons and scallop stitch edges are from my stash.

Hope you have a wonderful day!  Keep creating!

Hedgehog Tuck Flap Card

 Happy Thursday AI Friends!

We have a new blog challenge currently going on called "Let Them Eat Cake".  Any card, project with cakes or cupcakes, etc.   I decided to make a cute little Hedgehog Tuck Flap card using the #5112 - Hedgehogs set with the cake from the #4980 - Birthday Circlet MTF and the presents from the #5491 - Front Porch Party set as accents.

I stamped all of the images onto copic friendly paper with Memento black ink and colored with my copic markers listed below.  The hedgehog was stamped onto a 3.5 inch square.  The other images are cut using the dies, so can be stamped onto any size paper.

I die cut the cake and balloons with the corresponding die (#4980 Birthday Circlet) and then fussy cut the portion that wasn't cut out with the die.  The presents (#5491 - Front Porch Party) were cut with the dies included in that set.  I mounted each of those onto a white circle die cut and then layered onto a blue circle die cut.  I cut two corner bookmarks using the new #6042 - Corner Bookmark dies.  I assembled the bookmarks and adhered the circle die cuts onto each of the fronts of the bookmarks.

For the card base and fold, I cut a top folding A2 card size 4.25 by 8.25 inches and scored at 5.5 inches.  This will leave a 2.75 inch flap for the front.  Using the #6011 - Basic Teal PP, cut two pieces (front -
2.5 x 4 inch and the inside - 5.25 x 4) to be layered onto blue cardstock.  Place the corner bookmarks over the bottom edges of the inside layer and adhere this layer to the inside of the card base.  This will glue the bookmarks to the inside of the card and leave the back of the card white.  Mount the hedgehog image onto blue cardstock.  Place glue onto the backside of the top half only and adhere to the front flap of the card base.  Add the sentiment from the Hedgehog set and die cut with the #6046 - Scallop Oval dies with a blue layer cut from the #5065 - Nested Oval dies.

Create an easel with the #5902 - Mini Scallop Frame die and glue to the back of the card base.  Tuck the hedgehog image piece inside the bookmark edges and you have a Tuck Flap card that stands on display, thanks to the easel.

Hope you join us in this "Let Them Eat Cake" challenge for a chance to win a free stamp set of your choice.  We LOVE to see your creations!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and keep creating!

Baby Boy Panda Bear

 Happy Thursday AI Friends!

Today I have a cute little baby boy card for you using the #6017 - Baby Panda set.  This is the absolute cutest little set and makes the cutest baby cards!

I started out stamping the images on copic friendly paper with Memento black ink and colored with my copic markers listed below.  I cut each out with the corresponding dies that come with the stamp set.  To create the background, I using my cloud stencil and Distress Oxide Broken China ink.  The papers for the frame and the grass are from the #6011 - Basic Teal PP and the #6009 - Basic Green PP.  I paper pieced one of the balloons and the carriage sun cover using the #6036 - Easter Bunny PP.

The upper panda moves as if floating in air (see video).  This is a simple interactive mechanism.
To provide more stability to the swinging panda, I suggest die cutting a second panda w/balloons out of heavy cardstock and adhere to the backside of the colored image.  Punch a circle in the cloud background, small enough to hide behind the balloon.  Place a foam dot in the center, adhering the bottom side to the card base, and the top side of the foam dot to the back of the top balloon.  The panda will swing back and forth as if he is floating in air.

I hope you are having a wonderful start to your summer!  Have a great weekend and thanks for joining me today!

Little Pink Panda

 Happy Thursday AI Friends!

Wow, if you haven't done this yet, check out the newest release at Art Impressions.  Bonnie created the most adorable little panda baby set.   I couldn't wait to play with this set and the timing is perfect for the current challenge here on the blog called "Un-Bear-Ably-Cute".  Your project just needs to include a bear.

I used the #6017 Baby Panda set and the #5360 WC Rocking Chair stamp/die set to create my scene.  The pattern papers are from the #5741 Valentines PP.

I began by stamping all of the images onto copic friendly paper with Memento black ink and colored with my copic markers, listed below.  I die cut a rocking chair from brown cardstock and inked the edges.  I then stamped the back of the chair onto pattern paper and paper pieced it onto the brown cardstock chair above the arm.  I die cut the seat of the chair from a coordinating piece of pattern paper and pieced it onto the seat of the chair to look like a cushion.  I positioned the panda onto the cushion and the presents hugging tight to the chair to hide any piecing imperfections.  😏  I popped all of the images up with foam tape.  The heart frame die cut panel is from my stash and the flooring is a piece of peel and stick wallpaper from the dollar tree.  The sentiment was stamped onto a scalloped die cut from the #5344  Envelope GCH.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today.  Thank for you joining me.

Birthday Wobble

I am soooo thrilled to be the feature for this challenge - "I Like to Move it, Move it".  I am such a fan of interactive cards, so this is a delight for me.  I had soooo much fun creating this card and I am soooo excited for how it turned out.

First of all, I stamped all of the images on copic friendly paper with Memento black ink and colored with my copic markers listed below.  Some images were dies so I cut them with copic friendly paper and then colored with copic markers.
I cut two 4 1/4 x 4 1/4" pieces of heavy white cardstock and scored each piece at 1".  Do NOT adhere together yet as you need to place the acetate pieces in between.

Let's decorate the front of the card first.  I matted a piece of pattern paper onto a piece of purple cardstock allowing for an 1/8" border around all sides.  This is then adhered to one of the white cardstock pieces. The 1" fold should be towards the back at the bottom.  I started by using the front layer (balloons) of the #4980 Birthday Circlet MTF.  I die cut this layer with the coordinating die and then cut the whole circle with one of the #5726 Nested Circle dies.  I used the koala sitting in the teacup from the #5349 Koala set and cut him off of the teacup so that I could place him on the stack of presents from #5954 Woodland Bears set.  I only used the bottom three presents of that stamp so that it fit nicely in the circlet.  I popped the circlet onto foam dots and placed onto a stitched circle die cut from purple cardstock.  I then glued the bottom two presents behind the balloons and popped up the top present as well as the koala so that they sat on top of the circlet.  I colored several confetti pieces from the #5407 Birthday Cake GCH and adhered them to the front of the card.  I saved several colored pieces for the inside of the card.

Now, for the inside of the card.  I cut several strips of acetate, about 1/2" x 3" for each item.  I arranged the images how I wanted them to pop up over the front flap of the card.  I glued each to the top of a piece of acetate making sure there is enough acetate at the bottom to glue between the 1" folds.  Once the images are glued to a piece of acetate, I then glued the bottom of the acetate to the back of the front flap fold.  When all of the acetate pieces are glued down, I took the back flap and glued the two fold pieces together, making sure the acetate pieces are glued in firmly.  I then finished decorating the inside of the card with pattern paper and purple cardstock over the exposed white cardstock.  Lastly, I added the final pieces of confetti to decorate.

Below is a video of how the card wobbles.

I hope you enjoyed my card today!
Have a wonderful day and happy creating!!

Golden Celebration

 Happy New Year AI Friends!

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are off to a fantastic 2025!

My card today was inspired by the current challenge "Craft Time is Golden".  I sort of went "all out" golden.  😁  When I started creating, the gold was minimal, then all of a sudden, it went full on gold! Guess you could say it screams New Year's celebration, but wouldn't it be great for a 50th wedding anniversary card or add a little black and make it a graduation card.

I used the 5811 - Gift card pocket die set for the bow and the 5722 - Birthday Journal set for the balloons and celebrate word die.  The streamer is from the 5592 - Harvest Journal die set.   I also used the 5063 - Rectangle A2 Double stitched die set for the frame and gift box.  And lastly, I used the 5606 - Harvest Journal PP for the striped pattern paper background.

To make the balloons pop out of the box, I used a slider pull tab and cut a vertical strip in the white frame piece, under the box, for the pull tab to slide.  I adhered a strip of acetate to the bottom of the bow and adhered some balloons on it.  I adhered a pop dot onto the pull tab and placed the pop dot through the vertical slit and onto the bottom of the acetate, so that when you pull the tab the bow rises and the balloons pop up.

Hope you enjoyed my card today.

All Wrapped Up

New challenge at Art Impression's this week is "All Wrapped Up".  I decided to make an interactive card because those are my favorite.  I used the Art Impression's slider die (an oldie but a goodie) and created my own little twist to it.  The whole inside of the track is suppose to slide to reveal the image underneath but I made it so only a portion slides revealing what is inside the present.  The present is a die from my stash but you can easily make your own or use any other die you may have.  You just need it wider than the track so it hides the image inside.  I also used the Art Impression's Baby Critter set. This set has the cutest images and are the perfect size plus it includes the dies for each image.  Such a fun set!!

I stamped the images on Xpress It cardstock and colored with copic markers.  I inked blended the background and used pattern paper for the grass.  I have been wanting to use my present die for the longest time and since the challenge was "All Wrapped Up", the first thing of thought of was a present. I just love the bow that comes with this die and thought it would make a great pull tab.  Just had to reinforce it with an extra die cut and glued them together to make it stronger.

Hope you enjoy my card and have fun crafting!

Balloons, balloons, balloons

Happy Monday!  Hope all the mom's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day!

This week's challenge at Art Impressions is "Up Up and Away" and I used my most favorite stamp set of Art Impressions.  It's called "Lifetime set - 4728".  I have used this stamp set for every man in my life at one time or another.  I just think he is hilarious and spunky.

I colored this image with copic markers and made the balloons with balloon dies I had on hand.  Attached twine to each of the balloons and tied them in a bow.  I then glued the bow into his hand to look like he was holding them.  The sentiment came from the Art Impressions stamp set "Birthday Hat" which has been discontinued.

Hope you enjoy my card.
